'Giving an original twist'

Revealing the essence of an idea and doing something with that, preferably something funny, is what Rick masters the best. Rick: 'By giving an original twist to the story, a spontaneous smile appears. That's when something happens, that's what people recognize.' He wants to fascinate, touch and surprise. He learned the profession on the job on many moviesets by doing all possible tasks and absorbing everything. One day he wants to make his own movie, but he finds directing commercials the best there is: 'Getting the most out of a script in a short amount of time, is a challenge every sinlge time.' In scripts he wants to accentuate the human aspect, so it becomes reel, original, recognizable and funny. 'You get recognition through humor, preferably in combination with painful moments. That feeling is universal and everyone recognizes it.' To get there, Rick gets into the characters. Therefor working with good actors is a must.
